Narrative:

Ferry flight to position for outbound flight gsp to clt. On descent the right engine oil temperature was exceeding limits when the throttles were retarded to idle. We elected to return to clt. On the way back to clt the oil temperature exceeded time and temperature limits. We did a precautionary shutdown of the right engine. I declared an emergency and had equipment standing by. Approach and landing were normal.
