Narrative:

Busy ATC stated they told me to contact tower 3 times -- did not hear them, they said same to a navajo. I turned downwind, they said was 1 mi from mco approach to runway 18. I was 4 mi from orl -- couldn't be 1 mi from mco final. Tower stated in class B airspace at 2000 ft I was still with mco approach. Problem I believe was with approach's radio equipment. 2 aircraft did not get their calls. Solution is less workload so handoff can be accomplished in time to avoid conflict.
