Narrative:

Took off from bmg at XA56Z after refueling stop and climbed to 5500 ft MSL. Air was moderately turbulent from wind and thermal activity and aircraft tended to rise and settle in waves. I saw the citabria to my left and below me. He appeared to be at the correct cruising altitude. He passed in front and below me so no evasive action was necessary. I climbed back to 5500 ft and attempted to maintain that level with greater diligence.
