Narrative:

At ord, brand new first officer, short taxi, we were cleared into position while completing the checklist and then cleared for takeoff, fly heading 360 degrees. Well into takeoff roll tower asked us our position. I replied we're rolling. Tower said to disregard. I think we were cleared to takeoff, but tower asking me our position puts doubt in my mind. They did not request an abort, and our speed would have made an abort an undesirable option. Narrative: AT ORD, BRAND NEW FO, SHORT TAXI, WE WERE CLRED INTO POS WHILE COMPLETING THE CHKLIST AND THEN CLRED FOR TKOF, FLY HDG 360 DEGS. WELL INTO TKOF ROLL TWR ASKED US OUR POS. I REPLIED WE'RE ROLLING. TWR SAID TO DISREGARD. I THINK WE WERE CLRED TO TKOF, BUT TWR ASKING ME OUR POS PUTS DOUBT IN MY MIND.
