Narrative:

While taxiing into ord ramp the #1 engine hit an 'igloo' that was on the taxiway. This caused a puncture of the nose cowl and scrapes on the nacelle. This was discovered after aircraft was blocked in at cargo building. Aircraft was on center of taxiway as confirmed by the tire marks in the snow. The 'igloo' was colored white. None of the crew saw the igloo.

Title: AN ACR WDB ACFT INCURRED DAMAGE WHEN IT STRUCK AN IGLOO DURING TAXI. THE RPTR STATES THAT THE ACFT HAD MAINTAINED TXWY CTRLINE AS WAS PROVEN BY THE TIRE TRACKS IN THE SNOW. THE DAMAGE TO LEFT #1 ENG NACELLE AND THE NOSE COWL WAS NOT DISCOVERED UNTIL AFTER THE ACFT STOPPED AT THE CARGO BUILDING.

Narrative: WHILE TAXIING INTO ORD RAMP THE #1 ENG HIT AN 'IGLOO' THAT WAS ON THE TXWY. THIS CAUSED A PUNCTURE OF THE NOSE COWL AND SCRAPES ON THE NACELLE. THIS WAS DISCOVERED AFTER ACFT WAS BLOCKED IN AT CARGO BUILDING. ACFT WAS ON CTR OF TXWY AS CONFIRMED BY THE TIRE MARKS IN THE SNOW. THE 'IGLOO' WAS COLORED WHITE. NONE OF THE CREW SAW THE IGLOO.
