Narrative:

When vectored 10 degrees right of the jawws arrival abeam morgan hill out of 5000 ft for the assigned altitude of 4100 ft, the GPWS noted terrain. Warning occurred out of 4700 ft. Climbed through 4800 ft to silence warning. Approach was informed of altitude deviation to which their reply was that the warnings are occurring more often recently for no reason.

Title: AN ACR FLC RECEIVES A TERRAIN WARNING FROM THE GPWS WHILE DSNDING THROUGH 4700 FT FOR 4100 FT. THE FLC PROPERLY EXECUTED THEIR EVASIVE CLB. THE HIGH TERRAIN IN THE GENERAL VICINITY IS APPROX 4049 FT AT A TWR.
