Narrative:

Inadvertently crossed taxiway hold line. Powered back from gate at dfw. After the 180 degree turn, I missed the hold line and encroached upon taxiway K at spot X without clearance. Realizing my mistake, I came to a stop with the aircraft extending halfway onto taxiway K and waited for clearance from ground. There were no other aircraft nearby. After making the 180 degree turn, the hold line was closer than I anticipated and the taxi speed was faster than appropriate. Next time I will slow it down and be more vigilant of all taxiway markings.

Title: FLC OF AN MLG FAILED TO STOP SHORT OF THE DESIGNATED HOLD SHORT LINE DURING TAXI FOR TKOF.

Narrative: INADVERTENTLY CROSSED TXWY HOLD LINE. POWERED BACK FROM GATE AT DFW. AFTER THE 180 DEG TURN, I MISSED THE HOLD LINE AND ENCROACHED UPON TXWY K AT SPOT X WITHOUT CLRNC. REALIZING MY MISTAKE, I CAME TO A STOP WITH THE ACFT EXTENDING HALFWAY ONTO TXWY K AND WAITED FOR CLRNC FROM GND. THERE WERE NO OTHER ACFT NEARBY. AFTER MAKING THE 180 DEG TURN, THE HOLD LINE WAS CLOSER THAN I ANTICIPATED AND THE TAXI SPD WAS FASTER THAN APPROPRIATE. NEXT TIME I WILL SLOW IT DOWN AND BE MORE VIGILANT OF ALL TXWY MARKINGS.
