Narrative:

On climb out from boston on way to glyde intersection we were told to take a heading for direct barnes (baf). We took heading 270-275 degrees and mins later center told us to turn to 290 degrees. There was no conflict and no safety issue. We were slightly left of most direct heading to barnes. It was inadvertent. I selected a heading less than required for direct barnes based on strong north wind. Center corrected course. No traffic that day as it was very quiet due to holiday cancellations.
