Narrative:

On arrival into pdx, first officer briefed ILS approach to runway 10R at pdx. ILS for runway 10L was inoperative. To expedite our taxi time into our ramp, we also briefed visual to runway 10L should we acquire the runway visually. Chart information for runway 10L indicates lighting which includes a PAPI-left, and indicates a PAPI on the left side of the runway, with a rather steep 3.6 slope angle. What actually exists is a 2-BAR VASI on the l-hand side of the runway. Quizzed the tower after parking. He said that the 2-BAR VASI has been in place for some time, and was unaware of any PAPI. Either the chart information should be changed, and/or company NOTAM should be issued alerting crews of discrepancy in the interim.
