Narrative:

Upon taxiing out of our ramp, ground control cleared us to taxi to runway 09R and hold short. We expected a taxi clearance to runway 09L. To reorient ourselves to the airport diagram we mistook a parallel taxiway to runway 09R which I stated we would use. In the confusion what we thought was the taxiway was in fact the runway 09R. At this point we stopped short of the runway, but we had in fact passed the runway hold short line. Contributing factors were confusion caused by change of runway, short taxi distance, and both captain and first officer were unfamiliar with airport diagram.
