Narrative:
Descended 800 ft below assigned altitude on vectors for a visual approach to runway 05R at yip (2200 ft). Climbed back to 3000 ft and shot ILS runway 05R. Contributing factors: fatigue, non- standard cockpit confign, we fly 3 models of DC8 with a different layout in nearly every plane.
