Narrative:

While giving VFR flight instruction to a student pilot in the pattern our microphone became stuck for 1-2 mins. The controller became verbally abusive once we were back in communication. As we continued to fly the pattern I explained to the student how inappropriate the controller's remarks were. We were later informed by ATC that during this conversation the microphone was once again stuck and they were offended by the profane language. This was unintentional on our part.

WE WERE LATER INFORMED BY ATC THAT DURING THIS CONVERSATION THE MIKE WAS ONCE AGAIN STUCK AND THEY WERE OFFENDED BY THE PROFANE LANGUAGE. THIS WAS UNINTENTIONAL ON OUR PART.
