Narrative:

Arriving dfw sent from the west to the east, slam dunk, VFR but hazy. Clearance was to follow the S80, cleared visual runway 17R. Slight overshoot. Tower instructed us to level off and turn left 25 degrees. At the same time we got an RA. Followed tower's instructions and RA. Landed without further problems. Classic example of being busy, trying to help ATC and too many moving parts. Supplemental information from acn 314537: slight overshoot. Captain corrected quickly. We were switched from runway 8L ILS to sidestep runway 18R to visual runway 17R before the RA.
