Narrative:
Deviating around numerous thunderstorms. Given descent to FL310 from FL330. Unable to avoid cumulo nimbus because of descent. Light to occasional moderate turbulence. Autoplt altitude either mis-set to FL300, bumped in turbulence while setting other knobs on panel or ? Passed through FL310 in moderate turbulence. Descent arrested at FL306. ATC claimed no problem -- no conflict.
