Narrative:

Using local ground control after pushback at austin, tx, our air carrier flight was told to follow another air carrier (runway was blocked or unreadable) and the #17 was heard. We requested clarification as it sounded like runway 17 was the departure runway and would not be acceptable. On the second request we read back runway 13R. As aircraft started to cross runway 17 we were told to cross runway 17. There was landing traffic on about a 2 mi final. It is not clear to me if we were to hold short of runway 17 or had full clear to taxi across runway 17 on way to runway 13R. There was no hold short instructions received on readback.
