Narrative:

While flying touch and goes on runway 28L (the right was closed for construction), left traffic, myf tower changed the runway in use to runway 23. A twin (navajo) was cleared to land from right traffic runway 23. We were cleared for touch and goes all morning. On this approach, our C172 was the last aircraft in the runway 28L pattern. The navajo made a short pattern which prompted the tower to issue a go around to the navajo. We (my student and I) were starting the power up for the go, of the touch and go at that moment. Realizing the proximity of the twin I took the controls, made a 10 degree right turn to avoid wake turbulence. I continued the climb straight out and received a tower clearance of right traffic for runway 23. I did not feel we were in danger, just in close proximity. We then continued training for several more hours. I feel if the twin had continued the landing because we were on climb out, by the time it rolled across runway 28L, my aircraft would have already crossed the centerline of runway 23.

Title: OPERROR NMAC BTWN CGA-X ON TKOF FROM TOUCH AND GO AND UGA-Y ON ATC DIRECTED GAR FROM A LNDG APCH ON A CONVERGING RWY.

Narrative: WHILE FLYING TOUCH AND GOES ON RWY 28L (THE R WAS CLOSED FOR CONSTRUCTION), L TFC, MYF TWR CHANGED THE RWY IN USE TO RWY 23. A TWIN (NAVAJO) WAS CLRED TO LAND FROM R TFC RWY 23. WE WERE CLRED FOR TOUCH AND GOES ALL MORNING. ON THIS APCH, OUR C172 WAS THE LAST ACFT IN THE RWY 28L PATTERN. THE NAVAJO MADE A SHORT PATTERN WHICH PROMPTED THE TWR TO ISSUE A GAR TO THE NAVAJO. WE (MY STUDENT AND I) WERE STARTING THE PWR UP FOR THE GO, OF THE TOUCH AND GO AT THAT MOMENT. REALIZING THE PROX OF THE TWIN I TOOK THE CTLS, MADE A 10 DEG R TURN TO AVOID WAKE TURB. I CONTINUED THE CLB STRAIGHT OUT AND RECEIVED A TWR CLRNC OF R TFC FOR RWY 23. I DID NOT FEEL WE WERE IN DANGER, JUST IN CLOSE PROX. WE THEN CONTINUED TRAINING FOR SEVERAL MORE HRS. I FEEL IF THE TWIN HAD CONTINUED THE LNDG BECAUSE WE WERE ON CLBOUT, BY THE TIME IT ROLLED ACROSS RWY 28L, MY ACFT WOULD HAVE ALREADY CROSSED THE CTRLINE OF RWY 23.
