Narrative:

Upon climbing out of 13500 ft to FL230, pilot encountered an intermittent fire warning light on master warning panel (left engine). Assessed engine gauges and visually checked out left engine. Everything checked out ok. Immediately returned to avl for precautionary landing after notifying ARTCC of situation. Upon landing with emergency equipment standing by, evacuate/evacuationed aircraft on ramp and inspected left engine with emergency personnel. Found fire loop detection wire chafed in several locations. Replaced loop wire and checked out ok.
