Narrative:

Clearing runway 35R at the high speed short of ej, tower cleared us to turn left hold short of em. An aircraft was holding at ej so I turned left on the parallel before I realized the left turn must have been on the high speed not the parallel because em was now behind me. It all worked out. We had a gate hold anyway. No one else was on the taxiway. Tower had us do a 180 degree and hold short of Z. The confusion was the left turn. We were already on the high speed and left turn to me was on the parallel. Perhaps a right turn or left turn on the parallel would clarify what the tower wants.

Title: DEV FROM CLRNC -- ACR TURNED ONTO THE WRONG TXWY AND ATCT LCL CTLR HAD TO RERTE IT TO THE TERMINAL.

Narrative: CLRING RWY 35R AT THE HIGH SPD SHORT OF EJ, TWR CLRED US TO TURN L HOLD SHORT OF EM. AN ACFT WAS HOLDING AT EJ SO I TURNED L ON THE PARALLEL BEFORE I REALIZED THE L TURN MUST HAVE BEEN ON THE HIGH SPD NOT THE PARALLEL BECAUSE EM WAS NOW BEHIND ME. IT ALL WORKED OUT. WE HAD A GATE HOLD ANYWAY. NO ONE ELSE WAS ON THE TXWY. TWR HAD US DO A 180 DEG AND HOLD SHORT OF Z. THE CONFUSION WAS THE L TURN. WE WERE ALREADY ON THE HIGH SPD AND L TURN TO ME WAS ON THE PARALLEL. PERHAPS A R TURN OR L TURN ON THE PARALLEL WOULD CLARIFY WHAT THE TWR WANTS.
