Narrative:

On climb out approximately 2000 ft, a hydraulic quantity noted at '0.' engine driven hydraulic pump #2 low pressure light flickered and a pressure indicator dipped into red arc then returned to normal. We declared an emergency. ATC told us to level at 3000 ft. We climbed a little above 3000 ft then corrected. We diverted to jfk. Hydraulic pressure still in green arc. We extended gear and flaps normally. Upon landing at jfk pressure went down. We taxied to the gate with emergency equipment escorting us.
