Narrative:
Captain started descent to 33000 ft failed to level off while I was occupied with other duties. Standard (air carrier) sopa callouts '2000 ft to go,' '1000 ft to go' were made. I failed to see problem until we were at 27700 ft, at which time I called 'altitude' and the captain climbed up to assigned altitude. Throughout trip captain was complacent, poor radio discipline. Due to retire in 2 yrs. Flight lax-dtw. 50 mi from mkc.
