Narrative:

I overlooked the WX at greeley, co, during my check ride. In addition, the WX at greeley was well below minimums and I did not file an alternate airport. I also forgot to get a briefing at greeley because it was clear skies at cys, where I was located at the time being. To resolve this next time, file an alternate anyway, even though it is a nice and clear day. Also, get a briefing before going anywhere.

Narrative: I OVERLOOKED THE WX AT GREELEY, CO, DURING MY CHK RIDE. IN ADDITION, THE WX AT GREELEY WAS WELL BELOW MINIMUMS AND I DID NOT FILE AN ALTERNATE ARPT.
