Narrative:

I was flying sbound on the hudson class B exclusion between 800-1000 ft and turned to fly northbound on the east river class B exclusion. I was monitoring the required unicom and, upon crossing the williamsburg bridge was contacted by a police helicopter and told I was in a notamed restr airspace and had to leave it immediately. I immediately turned around and radioed I was not aware of the NOTAM and was leaving the airspace. The helicopter told me to climb to 1000 ft and what my aircraft number was. I replied once but the helicopter did not understand. A military helicopter was hovering near manhattan at approximately 500 ft AGL and radioed my aircraft number to the police helicopter. I departed with no further contact with anyone. The NOTAM was not issued to me during the standard briefing which contributed to this incident.
