Narrative:
The aircraft was on a pleasure flight and short cross country to bad axe, mi. A WX briefing was obtained the local and area NOTAMS were not listing a restricted area and during the flight we noticed some ground activity ahead and we circled the area approximately 4 times. During one circle I noticed a bomb disposal unit and made the decision to leave the area immediately. I added full power started a climb filed an IFR flight plan and contacted the ZOB controller.

Title: A PVT ACFT ENTERED A TEMPORARY FLT RESTR AREA. THE PLT STATED THAT INFO REGARDING THE AIRSPACE WAS NOT RECEIVED DURING THE WX BRIEFING.
Narrative: THE ACFT WAS ON A PLEASURE FLT AND SHORT XCOUNTRY TO BAD AXE, MI. A WX BRIEFING WAS OBTAINED THE LCL AND AREA NOTAMS WERE NOT LISTING A RESTRICTED AREA AND DURING THE FLT WE NOTICED SOME GND ACTIVITY AHEAD AND WE CIRCLED THE AREA APPROX 4 TIMES. DURING ONE CIRCLE I NOTICED A BOMB DISPOSAL UNIT AND MADE THE DECISION TO LEAVE THE AREA IMMEDIATELY. I ADDED FULL PWR STARTED A CLB FILED AN IFR FLT PLAN AND CONTACTED THE ZOB CTLR.
