Narrative:

When cleared for takeoff cleared as 'flight xyz cleared for takeoff.' responded with 'flight acz cleared for takeoff.' when airborne it became apparent that tower thought we were another flight. Our company is notorious for some similar sounding flts in the same vicinity at the same time. Surely the words 'largest' civilian computer could xchk flight numbers against departure/arrival times and cities to try to minimize this conflict.
