Narrative:

I was the PNF working the radio on let down. The captain was flying on the same old route he had been on for yrs. He wanted to land to the east straight-in, but traffic necessitated a pattern around to land to the west. While he was arguing with approach and also flying, we were getting close to a previously assigned crossing restr. I interjected, 'if you're going to argue, you had best not give him any ammunition -- are we going to make this crossing?' response, 'of course speed brakes.' just made it.
