Narrative:

Shortly after rotation the engine developed carburetor ice. Lost altitude quickly. Was at tree top level when engine began to run smooth again. 1 tree was higher than others and struck right wing before I was able to regain altitude. Landed at airport to inspect damage. Determined damage was minor and left airport and returned to hangar at palmer, ak, approximately 10 mi away and reported event to aircraft owner.

Title: ACFT LOST PWR AFTER TKOF DUE TO CARB ICE, LOST ALT AND WING HIT TREE. ACFT LANDED SAFELY.

Narrative: SHORTLY AFTER ROTATION THE ENG DEVELOPED CARB ICE. LOST ALT QUICKLY. WAS AT TREE TOP LEVEL WHEN ENG BEGAN TO RUN SMOOTH AGAIN. 1 TREE WAS HIGHER THAN OTHERS AND STRUCK R WING BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO REGAIN ALT. LANDED AT ARPT TO INSPECT DAMAGE. DETERMINED DAMAGE WAS MINOR AND LEFT ARPT AND RETURNED TO HANGAR AT PALMER, AK, APPROX 10 MI AWAY AND RPTED EVENT TO ACFT OWNER.
