Narrative:

I was working the bum hi sector west of stl. Air carrier X was approaching the trake intersection via the sgf transition and descending to FL250 with holding instructions at trake. Air carrier Y was level at FL270 approaching trake from the west via the bum transition with holding instructions. Upon reaching trake, X made a wide turn to the outbound leg, Y arrived at trake later and turned inside X instead of following his arc. Because I was attempting to give a relief briefing at the time, I failed to notice in time.
