Narrative:

On final segment of a back course approach to pne I experienced a radio malfunction, as I was handed off by approach control to pne tower. I was not able to contact the tower to get landing clearance. After touchdown I was able to contact tower using a ground frequency. Problem seemed to be in the audio panel - loose connector!
