Narrative:

The aircraft was to transport 2 passenger and 140 pounds of cargo from an offshore structure to intracoastal city heliport. Upon landing at the offshore heliport, the helicopter was kept operating while the passenger and cargo were loaded. The aircraft flew to the on-shore helicopter without incident. After shutdown, I was informed that the cargo was a regulated hazardous material, flammable liquids north.O.south un 1993 package group III, there were 2, 5 gal pails. The heliport dispatcher notified the FAA civil aviation security office in accordance with 49 crash fire rescue equipment 175.31.

Title: HAZARDOUS CARGO PROB - THE PLT WAS INFORMED THAT HAZARDOUS MATERIAL HAD BEEN PUT ON BOARD AT THE OFFSHORE OIL RIG ALONG WITH THE PAX.

Narrative: THE ACFT WAS TO TRANSPORT 2 PAX AND 140 LBS OF CARGO FROM AN OFFSHORE STRUCTURE TO INTRACOASTAL CITY HELIPORT. UPON LNDG AT THE OFFSHORE HELIPORT, THE HELI WAS KEPT OPERATING WHILE THE PAX AND CARGO WERE LOADED. THE ACFT FLEW TO THE ON-SHORE HELI WITHOUT INCIDENT. AFTER SHUTDOWN, I WAS INFORMED THAT THE CARGO WAS A REGULATED HAZARDOUS MATERIAL, FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS N.O.S UN 1993 PACKAGE GROUP III, THERE WERE 2, 5 GAL PAILS. THE HELIPORT DISPATCHER NOTIFIED THE FAA CIVIL AVIATION SECURITY OFFICE IAW 49 CFR 175.31.
