Narrative:

The captain was flying the leg from lga-dtw on mar/thu/95, the first officer was the PNF. We were descending for landing on runway 3R, when at 230 KTS and 12000 ft, we received clearance from dtw approach control to slow to 210 KTS, and descend to 10000 ft. The first officer repeated same, and we followed our flow pattern, to acknowledge and accomplish this. The controller pointed out traffic at our 1-2 O'clock position and we acknowledged that we had the traffic visually. We slowed and descended to 10000 ft and got a brief TCASII alert to climb, and since we had the traffic visually, and the TCASII stopped, we didn't change our altitude. We landed normally.

Title: AN ACR FLC WAS NOTIFIED OF TFC BY ATC. THEY ESTABLISHED VISUAL CONTACT, AND THEN RECEIVED A TCASII ALERT. THEY DID NOT RESPOND TO THE TCASII ALERT.

Narrative: THE CAPT WAS FLYING THE LEG FROM LGA-DTW ON MAR/THU/95, THE FO WAS THE PNF. WE WERE DSNDING FOR LNDG ON RWY 3R, WHEN AT 230 KTS AND 12000 FT, WE RECEIVED CLRNC FROM DTW APCH CTL TO SLOW TO 210 KTS, AND DSND TO 10000 FT. THE FO REPEATED SAME, AND WE FOLLOWED OUR FLOW PATTERN, TO ACKNOWLEDGE AND ACCOMPLISH THIS. THE CTLR POINTED OUT TFC AT OUR 1-2 O'CLOCK POS AND WE ACKNOWLEDGED THAT WE HAD THE TFC VISUALLY. WE SLOWED AND DSNDED TO 10000 FT AND GOT A BRIEF TCASII ALERT TO CLB, AND SINCE WE HAD THE TFC VISUALLY, AND THE TCASII STOPPED, WE DIDN'T CHANGE OUR ALT. WE LANDED NORMALLY.
