Narrative:
Altitude clearance non compliance. Cruising at FL330, given clearance to descend to FL290. Programmed FMC to comply, pressed execute button, became distracted by other matters, did not notice button ignored message on FMC CDU. Supplemental information from acn 296431: ATC called and reissued clearance to FL310 this time, and we descended as instructed.
