Narrative:

No visual contact with ground at decision ht. Began missed approach, popped out briefly to see a 737 sitting on or close to the threshold of the runway. Someone said 'don't hit me!' continued missed approach. Never saw anything on second approach. Third time got in ok. Tower said 737 reported near miss. Factors: tower unable to see aircraft on ground to see aircraft on active runway during poor WX. Flying on backside of the clock (started at 10 pm finished 9 am). 1ST day back on that schedule after 4 days off.

Narrative: NO VISUAL CONTACT WITH GND AT DECISION HT. BEGAN MISSED APCH, POPPED OUT BRIEFLY TO SEE A 737 SITTING ON OR CLOSE TO THE THRESHOLD OF THE RWY. SOMEONE SAID 'DON'T HIT ME!' CONTINUED MISSED APCH. NEVER SAW ANYTHING ON SECOND APCH. THIRD TIME GOT IN OK. TWR SAID 737 RPTED NEAR MISS. FACTORS: TWR UNABLE TO SEE ACFT ON GND TO SEE ACFT ON ACTIVE RWY DURING POOR WX. FLYING ON BACKSIDE OF THE CLOCK (STARTED AT 10 PM FINISHED 9 AM). 1ST DAY BACK ON THAT SCHEDULE AFTER 4 DAYS OFF.
