Narrative:

Center gave a descent to 8000 ft and very little time to get there (I think we had to lose 4000-5000 ft in 10 mi). I got in a hurry and became so intent on getting down to meet restr that I went right through 8000 ft and down to 6500 ft before recovering. Next time I will speak up to ATC and request more time on deviation from course to avoid quick altitude changes.
