Climbing out on pearson 1 departure runway 33. Cleared to maintain 5000 ft, left turn to 270 degrees, direct arthur intersection. TCASII TA, captain flying called traffic. First officer was head down on CDU entering direct intercept. Captain noticed altitude was 5300 ft vice 5000 ft and returned to 5000 ft. ATC advised clear of traffic, cleared to FL230.
