Narrative:

I was on the 4TH night of doing our longest freight run which goes ahn-bfm-mgm-bhm-hsv-bna-lou-ahn and takes approximately 7.6 hours of flying. I was talking to sdf approach while descending for an approach to lou. At approximately 20 NM from lou I reported the field in sight. I was cleared for the visual and told to contact lou radio for advisory. I continued my descent, contacted radio and momentarily lost sight of lou and picked up sdf's beacon and continued towards it. At this point I was exactly the same distance from both airports and did not realize my mistake until 10 NM out at which time I broke off my approach and was then contacted by radio to advise me of my error. I believe my disorientation was in part to being more fatigued than usual. I had been called in to work early for a chkride that got canceled and therefore did not get enough sleep or rest. This was also the 4TH time that the chkride had been canceled after being scheduled. This also is imposing extra stress and anxiety. It is getting annoying to study and prepare, and then get into work to find out the check airman went flying and didn't call to cancel. Not to mention rescheduling my life around it. I recently moved and am still trying to get settled in at my apartment. I am sleeping on the floor, sitting on my stairs, and eating peanut butter sandwiches for my meals. I believe this may also be causing some anxiety.

Title: APCH MADE TO WRONG ARPT.

Narrative: I WAS ON THE 4TH NIGHT OF DOING OUR LONGEST FREIGHT RUN WHICH GOES AHN-BFM-MGM-BHM-HSV-BNA-LOU-AHN AND TAKES APPROX 7.6 HRS OF FLYING. I WAS TALKING TO SDF APCH WHILE DSNDING FOR AN APCH TO LOU. AT APPROX 20 NM FROM LOU I RPTED THE FIELD IN SIGHT. I WAS CLRED FOR THE VISUAL AND TOLD TO CONTACT LOU RADIO FOR ADVISORY. I CONTINUED MY DSCNT, CONTACTED RADIO AND MOMENTARILY LOST SIGHT OF LOU AND PICKED UP SDF'S BEACON AND CONTINUED TOWARDS IT. AT THIS POINT I WAS EXACTLY THE SAME DISTANCE FROM BOTH ARPTS AND DID NOT REALIZE MY MISTAKE UNTIL 10 NM OUT AT WHICH TIME I BROKE OFF MY APCH AND WAS THEN CONTACTED BY RADIO TO ADVISE ME OF MY ERROR. IT IS GETTING ANNOYING TO STUDY AND PREPARE, AND THEN GET INTO WORK TO FIND OUT THE CHK AIRMAN WENT FLYING AND DIDN'T CALL TO CANCEL.
