Narrative:

Cleared for visual runway 12R and the captain. Acknowledged this clearance. On base to final I had not heard the cleared to land and ask the captain if in fact we had been given landing clearance. The captain said yes and we proceeded to a normal landing. Upon clearing the runway the captain then realized that he had not contacted the tower prior to touchdown. Ground was notified as we cleared the runway. Supplemental information from acn 293559: I was doing an IOE for a new first officer. We were told to change to tower and given the frequency and I accidentally hit the change button twice and ended up on approach control again. I then looked quickly at the approach page frequency and saw the approach control frequency in big numbers, not noticing the tower frequency in small numbers. I thought I was on tower and didn't get switched to the approach frequency.

Title: UNAUTH LNDG. MISIDENT OF RADIO FREQ.

Narrative: CLRED FOR VISUAL RWY 12R AND THE CAPT. ACKNOWLEDGED THIS CLRNC. ON BASE TO FINAL I HAD NOT HEARD THE CLRED TO LAND AND ASK THE CAPT IF IN FACT WE HAD BEEN GIVEN LNDG CLRNC. THE CAPT SAID YES AND WE PROCEEDED TO A NORMAL LNDG. UPON CLRING THE RWY THE CAPT THEN REALIZED THAT HE HAD NOT CONTACTED THE TWR PRIOR TO TOUCHDOWN. GND WAS NOTIFIED AS WE CLRED THE RWY. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 293559: I WAS DOING AN IOE FOR A NEW FO. WE WERE TOLD TO CHANGE TO TWR AND GIVEN THE FREQ AND I ACCIDENTALLY HIT THE CHANGE BUTTON TWICE AND ENDED UP ON APCH CTL AGAIN. I THEN LOOKED QUICKLY AT THE APCH PAGE FREQ AND SAW THE APCH CTL FREQ IN BIG NUMBERS, NOT NOTICING THE TWR FREQ IN SMALL NUMBERS. I THOUGHT I WAS ON TWR AND DIDN'T GET SWITCHED TO THE APCH FREQ.
