Narrative:
While taxiing for takeoff at lincoln northeast, we were cleared to 'taxi to runway 17R, juliet intersection' first officer's leg and he was taxiing aircraft. I was distracted by copying clearance. (We were running late) and before I could react, we were over the hold short lines of assigned runway. (Approximately 1/3 of aircraft, lines were even with propeller planes.) no other aircraft on approach and we were immediately cleared for takeoff. No conflict of any kind present and tower/ground never mentioned occurrence. Possible causes: I got distraction trying to do too many things at once because of being late. First officer was fairly unfamiliar with airport. Contributing factors: first officer not paying attention. My attention divided too much. Too much of a rush from being late. Discovered by me upon crossing line. Corrective actions: stopped aircraft as soon as realized problem. Called for takeoff immediately.
