Narrative:
On departure out of jnu we had received a clearance to lvd via the barlo departure. An en route NAVAID (5 finger beacon/D) was notamed OTS and hence I took the alternate route to lvd via sisters VOR (ssr). Unfortunately center did not know about the D beacon OTS and was surprised when we popped up on his scope where we did. I might point out that we had been on duty the previous day from XX05L till X130L and were now getting up at X230 with less than desired rest. In retrospect, I might have questioned FSS when we received the clearance as to whether they were aware of the 5 finger beacon status.
