Narrative:
After transitioning phx class B airspace I was given a vector towards gila bend by phx approach which I turned to and began flying instead of tracking the phx 185 degree radial which is V-95 as I had originally planned. Shortly thereafter I realized I had become disoriented and tried to contact phx approach but was unable because of mountainous terrain. I then tried contacting ZAB. After establishing communication with ZAB, I was given vectors to gila bend. Due to the fact that I was southeast of gila bend upon being picked up by center, I landed at the first airport I saw, which was gila bend air force auxiliary. I didn't realize my mistake until after landing and taking off and seeing gila bend municipal at my 2 O'clock position.

Title: FLT ASSIST BY ARTCC RADAR CTLR TO STUDENT PLT. TRAINING IN PROGRESS.
Narrative: AFTER TRANSITIONING PHX CLASS B AIRSPACE I WAS GIVEN A VECTOR TOWARDS GILA BEND BY PHX APCH WHICH I TURNED TO AND BEGAN FLYING INSTEAD OF TRACKING THE PHX 185 DEG RADIAL WHICH IS V-95 AS I HAD ORIGINALLY PLANNED. SHORTLY THEREAFTER I REALIZED I HAD BECOME DISORIENTED AND TRIED TO CONTACT PHX APCH BUT WAS UNABLE BECAUSE OF MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN. I THEN TRIED CONTACTING ZAB. AFTER ESTABLISHING COM WITH ZAB, I WAS GIVEN VECTORS TO GILA BEND. DUE TO THE FACT THAT I WAS SE OF GILA BEND UPON BEING PICKED UP BY CTR, I LANDED AT THE FIRST ARPT I SAW, WHICH WAS GILA BEND AIR FORCE AUX. I DIDN'T REALIZE MY MISTAKE UNTIL AFTER LNDG AND TAKING OFF AND SEEING GILA BEND MUNICIPAL AT MY 2 O'CLOCK POS.
