Narrative:

Our original clearance in lr-55 was 'as filed.' we had filed after hnk direct sweed direct and landing orh. After passing (hancock) hnk, ZBW issued a revised routing that included a 'sweed 3' arrival. The PNF could not find 'sweed 3' arrival for orh (worcester, ma) and advised ATC. After several radio xmissions, an impatient center controller advised us that the STAR was for bradley airport, and she indicated that it was our duty to know this. After landing we called commercial chart company to verify our chart currency and they confirmed that no stars exist for orh. Although there was no incident, we feel that safety was compromised in these ways: 1) 1 pilot is taken out of the loop in order to comply with ATC's unnecessary request (searching desperately to find a chart that doesn't exist). 2) the PF in this '2 crew required' aircraft cockpit is left with increased workload. His eyes now are the only eyes available to see and avoid other traffic. He has become the sole operator of a high performance aircraft in a high density area, with 600 KT ground speed, and confusion as to what direction to point it. 3) on an already congested frequency, these excessive radio xmissions not only hinder normal radio communications, but could prevent communications of immediate importance.

Title: STAR ARR ISSUED FOR WRONG ARPT.

Narrative: OUR ORIGINAL CLRNC IN LR-55 WAS 'AS FILED.' WE HAD FILED AFTER HNK DIRECT SWEED DIRECT AND LNDG ORH. AFTER PASSING (HANCOCK) HNK, ZBW ISSUED A REVISED ROUTING THAT INCLUDED A 'SWEED 3' ARR. THE PNF COULD NOT FIND 'SWEED 3' ARR FOR ORH (WORCESTER, MA) AND ADVISED ATC. AFTER SEVERAL RADIO XMISSIONS, AN IMPATIENT CTR CTLR ADVISED US THAT THE STAR WAS FOR BRADLEY ARPT, AND SHE INDICATED THAT IT WAS OUR DUTY TO KNOW THIS. AFTER LNDG WE CALLED COMMERCIAL CHART COMPANY TO VERIFY OUR CHART CURRENCY AND THEY CONFIRMED THAT NO STARS EXIST FOR ORH. ALTHOUGH THERE WAS NO INCIDENT, WE FEEL THAT SAFETY WAS COMPROMISED IN THESE WAYS: 1) 1 PLT IS TAKEN OUT OF THE LOOP IN ORDER TO COMPLY WITH ATC'S UNNECESSARY REQUEST (SEARCHING DESPERATELY TO FIND A CHART THAT DOESN'T EXIST). 2) THE PF IN THIS '2 CREW REQUIRED' ACFT COCKPIT IS LEFT WITH INCREASED WORKLOAD. HIS EYES NOW ARE THE ONLY EYES AVAILABLE TO SEE AND AVOID OTHER TFC. HE HAS BECOME THE SOLE OPERATOR OF A HIGH PERFORMANCE ACFT IN A HIGH DENSITY AREA, WITH 600 KT GND SPD, AND CONFUSION AS TO WHAT DIRECTION TO POINT IT. 3) ON AN ALREADY CONGESTED FREQ, THESE EXCESSIVE RADIO XMISSIONS NOT ONLY HINDER NORMAL RADIO COMS, BUT COULD PREVENT COMS OF IMMEDIATE IMPORTANCE.
