Narrative:

Upon arrival at msp we turned off of runway 11L at E3 and proceeded west on echo per ground control instruction to taxi to our gate. Turning south onto delta we were nose to nose with a light twin. I think an xx on delta just short of gate zz, which had another F-100 on it. I jumped on the brakes and stopped while the xx proceeded to dive into the ramp area to continue taxi going around us. When I asked ground who we were nose to nose with they responded, 'they got around you didn't they?' as if nothing was wrong. I don't mind giving aircraft the most expeditious taxi, but if it is going to create a nose to nose, they can at least tell someone about it so it isn't a surprise.. I think their cavalier attitude was the most disturbing part about it. Be advised that the passenger on the left side saw the xx go by close aboard and one said he was going to take it up with his senator with whom he is on a first name basis.
