Narrative:

Taxied (C-152) onto the departure end of runway 31 at XX58. While demonstrating a soft field takeoff to my student, 2 deer sized animals ran onto the runway about midfield. One of the animals proceeded sbound down the runway centerline. After braking the ground (the moment the animals appeared) I aborted the takeoff and deviated right of the centerline to avoid collision with the approaching animal. Due to the runway condition and the aircraft speed, braking action was poor and directional control difficult. The aircraft entered into a slight hydroplane due to the moisture in the ground. I pulled the throttle to idle (at the moment the animals appeared) and applied smooth and even braking. To protect the nosewheel, I applied just enough back pressure as not to obstruct forward visibility. Tire bordering the runway were not aligned well. The tires were painted white on one side, but some of them that were misaligned were black side up, which made them difficult to see. Due to the animals causing a collision hazard, poor runway condition and improper runway organization, I struck one of the tires during the my aborted takeoff and diversion. The tire struck and damaged the underside (gearbox) and right horizontal stabilizer.

Title: DURING ABORTED TKOF TO AVOID ANIMALS ON RWY, ACFT STRUCK RWY EDGE MARKER TIRE AND WAS DAMAGED.

Narrative: TAXIED (C-152) ONTO THE DEP END OF RWY 31 AT XX58. WHILE DEMONSTRATING A SOFT FIELD TKOF TO MY STUDENT, 2 DEER SIZED ANIMALS RAN ONTO THE RWY ABOUT MIDFIELD. ONE OF THE ANIMALS PROCEEDED SBOUND DOWN THE RWY CTRLINE. AFTER BRAKING THE GND (THE MOMENT THE ANIMALS APPEARED) I ABORTED THE TKOF AND DEVIATED R OF THE CTRLINE TO AVOID COLLISION WITH THE APCHING ANIMAL. DUE TO THE RWY CONDITION AND THE ACFT SPD, BRAKING ACTION WAS POOR AND DIRECTIONAL CTL DIFFICULT. THE ACFT ENTERED INTO A SLIGHT HYDROPLANE DUE TO THE MOISTURE IN THE GND. TIRE BORDERING THE RWY WERE NOT ALIGNED WELL. THE TIRES WERE PAINTED WHITE ON ONE SIDE, BUT SOME OF THEM THAT WERE MISALIGNED WERE BLACK SIDE UP, WHICH MADE THEM DIFFICULT TO SEE. DUE TO THE ANIMALS CAUSING A COLLISION HAZARD, POOR RWY CONDITION AND IMPROPER RWY ORGANIZATION, I STRUCK ONE OF THE TIRES DURING THE MY ABORTED TKOF AND DIVERSION. THE TIRE STRUCK AND DAMAGED THE UNDERSIDE (GEARBOX) AND R HORIZ STABILIZER.
