Narrative:

During the approach to runway 21 we were told that deer were reported 'in the area.' 1 mi out we were told by the tower that the deer were 'well clear of the runway.' on landing rollout at about 10 KTS. A small baby deer entered the runway and stopped on the centerline -- I veered left of the centerline to avoid it but I was not able to. The strike occurred to the right hand stub wing's leading edge on a sd-360 aircraft. Creating a 1/2 inch crack and very shallow dent in the fiberglass.
