FL330 en route gua-iah, approximately 250 mi sse sbi in mixed IFR/VFR conditions (no echoes on radar). Encountered moderate to severe turbulence. Some passenger injured. Seat belt sign was on at time of encounter. No structural damage to aircraft. Company was notified and aircraft met by appropriate medical personnel.
