Narrative:

On climb out of phx the TCASII issued a TA then a RA. I followed the RA and went from 2000 FPM climb to a 2000 FPM descent. I had been cleared to 15000 ft by phx departure and was on a 060 degree heading that was also issued by departure. I received the TA at about 12500 ft in my climb and the RA command to descend at about 13000 ft. The unknown traffic appeared to be at 14000 ft. I had descended to about 12500 ft when the TCASII issued a 'clear of conflict' message. Neither the first officer nor I saw the traffic and after calling departure control they said they were not aware of the traffic.
