Narrative:

Both the first officer and myself misread the 'fuel on board' section of the flight release thinking it said 2300 pounds instead of 2900 pounds. We landed with over 1100 pounds, still over our required 1075 pound 45 min reserve, but our fuel did not agree with our release. I think what prompted our mistakes was simple complacency and also our manifest filled out by the station had 2300 pounds. Filled in on the fuel column. We discovered the mistake after leveling off and doing our routine fuel check. We did some figuring and found that we could make our destination with adequate reserves and decided to continue. Supplemental information from acn 281359: complacency led to this error. All crew members should check the actual release. Rather than rely on station personnel.

Title: COMMUTER ACFT DEPARTS WITH LESS THAN LISTED FUEL ON BOARD.

Narrative: BOTH THE FO AND MYSELF MISREAD THE 'FUEL ON BOARD' SECTION OF THE FLT RELEASE THINKING IT SAID 2300 LBS INSTEAD OF 2900 LBS. WE LANDED WITH OVER 1100 LBS, STILL OVER OUR REQUIRED 1075 LB 45 MIN RESERVE, BUT OUR FUEL DID NOT AGREE WITH OUR RELEASE. I THINK WHAT PROMPTED OUR MISTAKES WAS SIMPLE COMPLACENCY AND ALSO OUR MANIFEST FILLED OUT BY THE STATION HAD 2300 LBS. FILLED IN ON THE FUEL COLUMN. WE DISCOVERED THE MISTAKE AFTER LEVELING OFF AND DOING OUR ROUTINE FUEL CHK. WE DID SOME FIGURING AND FOUND THAT WE COULD MAKE OUR DEST WITH ADEQUATE RESERVES AND DECIDED TO CONTINUE. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 281359: COMPLACENCY LED TO THIS ERROR. ALL CREW MEMBERS SHOULD CHK THE ACTUAL RELEASE. RATHER THAN RELY ON STATION PERSONNEL.
