Narrative:

Flight was cleared for the visual approach to runway 29R 10 mi south of airport. On final, we were instructed to switch to msp tower. We switched to tower frequency, however, we failed to check on. We landed without clearance and without incident. One possible cause of this incident is that crew was distracted with before landing checklist when we were switched to tower frequency.
