Narrative:

I was working bdf hi and lowli hi sectors combined. Supervisor decided to split sectors. During briefing with controller opening lowli sector air carrier X was not flashed or pvd onto lowli sector scope by me, nor was he mentioned in briefing. Flight strip for air carrier X was given to right controller at lowli sector by manual controller at baf hi. Controller at lowli sector stated he had airspace and frequencys for split off. I was relieved on radar by manual controller who was working bdf- D side. Shortly after lowli controller climb cpr Y into air carrier X, air carrier X was shipped to lowli frequency 25 to 3 min prior to error. Did not check on although air carrier X did acknowledge traffic seconds after the fact.
