Narrative:

I was working approach/departure control when I noticed an aircraft at 7500 ft 10 northwest of fsm sebound. R-2402 was active up to 26000 ft for artillery firing. The VFR aircraft never contacted fort smith approach and as he entered the northwest corner of R-2402, I alerted the range control personnel of the intruding aircraft. The aircraft was halfway through R-2402 before range control could accomplished the cease fire. The aircraft continued through R-2402 and exited the area sebound. ZME was asked to track the aircraft to his destination but no further information was obtained. This was the second incident involving an aircraft violating restr airspace in 1 week during my watch on radar approach/departure control. Better pilot briefings/awareness of restr airspace status and use of VFR radar services could prevent such deviations. Management declined to log the incident.

Title: ACFT FLIES INTO RESTR AIRSPACE THAT IS IN USE WITH ARTILLERY FIRE.

Narrative: I WAS WORKING APCH/DEP CTL WHEN I NOTICED AN ACFT AT 7500 FT 10 NW OF FSM SEBOUND. R-2402 WAS ACTIVE UP TO 26000 FT FOR ARTILLERY FIRING. THE VFR ACFT NEVER CONTACTED FORT SMITH APCH AND AS HE ENTERED THE NW CORNER OF R-2402, I ALERTED THE RANGE CTL PERSONNEL OF THE INTRUDING ACFT. THE ACFT WAS HALFWAY THROUGH R-2402 BEFORE RANGE CTL COULD ACCOMPLISHED THE CEASE FIRE. THE ACFT CONTINUED THROUGH R-2402 AND EXITED THE AREA SEBOUND. ZME WAS ASKED TO TRACK THE ACFT TO HIS DEST BUT NO FURTHER INFO WAS OBTAINED. THIS WAS THE SECOND INCIDENT INVOLVING AN ACFT VIOLATING RESTR AIRSPACE IN 1 WK DURING MY WATCH ON RADAR APCH/DEP CTL. BETTER PLT BRIEFINGS/AWARENESS OF RESTR AIRSPACE STATUS AND USE OF VFR RADAR SVCS COULD PREVENT SUCH DEVS. MGMNT DECLINED TO LOG THE INCIDENT.
