Narrative:

Myself and a friend took off from a balloon meet in plainville, ct, at approximately XA15 local. Using winds aloft forecast, we flew between surface and 3500 ft to avoid air traffic area, and, not being able to avoid new britain, we flew over it. After 3-4 approachs, we were about to land in a road works area. But after seeing it was fenced in, we brushed a tree and continued to a landing area within a mi or 2. Upon landing, there were 6-8 fire trucks and all sorts of people who closed off the road. We had flown over the chief of the fire department's house and when he saw us brush the trees, he called out the artillery. He took all information.
